Historic Rio

Rio de Janeiro is famous for its beaches, Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf. But it is also full of historic and cultural treasures, and has 460 years worth of stories to tell.

We'll visit internationally famous public art works like the Selaron Staircase and the spectacular Etnias grafitti mural; iconic architecture like the Lapa Arches and City Cathedral, sites integral to Afro-Brazilian culture and the origins of samba, and visit monuments to the colonial era as well as the golden age of the city.

Mountain Bike Rainforest Tour

Spectacular nature & views

The Tijuca Forest is the world's biggest urban rainforest. It a national park, and is both integral to the history of the city and an important sanctuary for many threatened species. It is also one of the best bike rides you'll ever do from any city anywhere in the world. 

The views on this ride are spectacular, taking in all angles of the city, and visiting lookouts where very few tourists go.

Bay views & ghost beaches

The route follows the stunning coastline of Guanabara Bay, where ghost beaches and fascinating stories await discovery. Prepare for an unforgettable outdoor experience, where Rio's beach culture has its roots almost 500 years ago.

Our pedicabs

Our pedicabs are pedal-powered electric-assisted tricycles that can carry 4 passengers, plus your rider/guide. We currently limit our tour groups to two pedicabs, for a total of 8 guests. The pedicabs are speed limited to 20 km/h (12 mp/h) and have hydraulic disc brakes, passenger seat belts and a solar panel to charge the batteries.

 
 

Our Bikes

We provide 29 inch mountain bikes with aluminium frames, front suspension, hydraulic disc brakes and a wide gear range to manage the climbs in the forest ride. Our bikes are equipped with quality components and maintained to a high standard. We also provide helmets for our rides.
