Our most popular pedicab tour gives you an unmatched perspective on Rio de Janeiro's history and culture. We visit sites that tell the story of Rio's colonial past, the origins of its music and culture.
Our small groups mean that each tour is a conversation about the history and culture , and you can spend more time at the sites you find most interesting.
The tour starts at the Municipal Theatre, the jewel in the crown of Rio's golden-age architecture, and weaves through other areas and eras of the city.
We visit iconic sites like the Arches of Lapa, Selaron Steps, City Cathedral, Portuguese Reading Rooms, Imperial Palace, Telles Archway, Museum of Tomorrow and Pedra do Sal, to name a few.
Sites visited may vary according to opening days.

The night tour visits many of the same sites as the daytime tour, but with the addition of seeing Rio's dynamic culture come alive. Every night time tour is different, just as every night in Rio is full of surprises. We might encounter a samba band, carnaval rehearsal, lively streets full of locals at bars catching up over a chopp (draft beer), or a capoeira practice.
We cover all the history of the daytime tour, and there are unique photo opportunities with the night-time illumination of many of the attractions.
